Drum Scanning

Just as different digital cameras will produce a wide range of results depending on the equipment and the operator, so it is with the scanning of transparencies, prints, and original art. We have been providing top qualilty drum scanning since 1992. Our Crosfield drum scanner provides tremendous color fidelity and detail. The final size and the resolution you require determines the file size and the price, so please ask for an estimate. Maximum size of original art is 20x25 inches; must be flexible to wrap around drum.

Before you select a scanning vendor you owe it to yourself to see our samples or have us do a test for you. A low price is usually a good indication of lower quality. Your work deserves to be reproduced with the greatest fidelity. You are paying good money to print your work but it can only be as good as the digital file that starts the process. We believe you will obtain the highest value by using Precision Digital.

Please note that all drum scanners require original art to be flexible to wrap around the drum. If you work is not flexible, we can have it professionally photographed to a 4x5 transparency for $100.
